Dog Portraits in Silver

Recently I was invited to a Glen Gathering in Barre, MA. I've been advertising in their newsletter and my friend Ara Lynn, editor and breeder Liberty's Glen of Imaal Terriers, thought this would be a great opportunity to connect with the group and for them to see my work "up close and personal". I jumped at it!
It was a beautiful day, a pretty drive, and a really fun day. I brought samples of my brooches and some other dog-themed jewelry - dog bones and paw prints. Pretty much everyone came and had a look, and had positive things to say. I got some orders too!
Throughout the day, I was surrounded by well-behaved dogs (Glen of Imaal Terriers. See "Evers" on my Custom page.) And puppies! Who doesn't love puppies? I got to hold one for the group photo, a treat for me since I do not have a dog of my own. (What!? you say? No dog? Nope, I have a cat, though I have had dogs in the past.)
There were workshops on grooming and leash training, and an introduction to Barn Hunt. It was really fun to watch the dogs go through a simple maze (some went around it) to find the tube with the rat in it. One of the puppies appeared to be a natural. Once she found it, she did not want to let it go!
What a lovely group of people! They came from all around New England, New York, and as far away as California and Louisiana. And boy, can they cook! I have never attended such a fabulous pot luck meal That was worth the trip all on its own!
At the end of the day, after thanking my hosts, I drove away with a big smile on my face. What a great day!
If you have a Glen and want to receive the newsletter, contact Ara Lynn and get on the list. They are planning a stroll in Central Park West at the end of the month. Get the details!

Thanks to The Cat Guy
for posting this link.
I'm home now from 9 days at the Sunapee Fair, and am not exhausted, to my surprise. I want to get back into the studio! I had a great show and gave out close to 100 brochures!
Many people ask if I do more than dogs. My answer is this: If you've got a photo I can do it. It doesn't have to be a dog. It can be your horse, pet goat, cockatoo, your child. And, to all who are here because of the Cat Guy, your cat! Let's talk!

Share your stories!
Visit the My Life in Dog Years page and share a story about your favorite dog. What's the funniest thing that happened? The best day of your show career? The day you brought your puppy home? I love dog stories and I'd love to hear yours!
